Erskineville Public School, in partnership with Erko P&C, is hosting an information session for parents and carers to learn more about high school options and how to apply.

The session will be held at school on Wednesday 13 March from 6pm-7pm in the Wollemi classroom (closest to the office) 

This session will be useful for :

• Year 6 parents and carers who have questions about the expression of interest form (a link to this form will be available on 6 March).
• Year 5 parents and carers, because high school choices need to be made in Term 1 of Year 6. Some applications (eg. for selective schools) open during Year 5, so it's useful to have information and ideas about high school options before these deadlines.
• Parents and carers of students in Years 3-4 (or even younger) may also find the session useful to plan ahead.

The agenda will include:

• Dr Haynes will give an overview of public high school options relevant to our local area (eg. local catchment, selective schools, specialist schools, etc) and how to complete the expression of interest form.
• Current Erko parents who also have a child at local high schools (including Alexandria Park, Tempe, Newtown and Dulwich Hill) will share their experiences and answer questions. 

To allow all parents to discuss their questions and experiences openly, this session is intended for parents and carers only. If you're unable to leave students at home, space will be provided for them to wait in a nearby classroom - please ensure they have activities to occupy them while they wait.
